ECONYL® regenerated nylon is made by recovering nylon waste such as fishing nets from the oceans and aquaculture, but also fabric scraps from mills and old rugs and carpets destined for landfills. ECONYL® regenerated is nylon not only made from waste - it is also one of the best textile resources, when it comes to climate change. It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by as much as 80% compared with the material made from oil.
TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibers help to maintain the environmental balance by being integrated into nature´s cycle. The fibers originate from the renewable raw material wood, created by photosynthesis. The certified biobased fibers are manufactured using an environmentally responsible production process using less water than conventional fiber production. The fibers are certified as compostable and biodegradable, and thus can fully revert back to nature.
